The Atlanta Insight Meditation Community is a Buddhist meditation, practice, and study community. We are based in the Insight/Vipassana tradition but open to other Buddhist traditions in our collaborative approach to study and practice.
We meet weekly on Monday nights from 7-9 p.m. Our usual format is a 30-minute silent meditation, followed by a Dharma talk and discussion. Our community is a mix of new and advanced practitioners, and we co-create a warm and inviting environment for study and practice. We invite and celebrate diversity, and we find that our practices are enriched by learning from each other.
We meet in the chapel of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta (off of the I-85 North Access Road between N. Druid Hills Rd. and Clairmont Rd.).
If you are interested in Buddhist study, meditation, and a warm community for learning, mindfulness, and practice, we hope you will join us.
