The Atlanta Maker Faire is no longer "mini" and is now a full featured faire!

There will be a power racing series! Lots of activities for kids, musical Tesla coils, and other cool stuff!

Plan to come to downtown decatur on Saturday October 4th (10am-5pm) or Sunday October 5th (12 noon - 5pm)

The Faire was great. I'd like to see an even larger area next year, all in one section if possible. Some power issues at the start, but everything else went off well. Free parking, food right on the square, and clean restrooms.

I really enjoyed the event - it was really nice getting to meet people for a lot of the local clubs and chat about their projects. The event size has really seen strong growth since last year.

We got there too late today. My handicapped brother threw a 27 inch tube TV into the wall this morning because breakfast wasn't cooking fast enough. I don't take orders, he had lots of cleaning up to do. I don't want him going on another rage tantrum at your festival breaking all manner of things just 'cos he can. I may not make it tomorrow.

looking forward to this event. I am a connect-the-dots kind of guy. Everything is subject to modifications.

    Hey David,

When are we going to get timing and logistics info for setup & tear-down as exhibitors? How about overnight precautions, is there anything we will need to do to our area between Saturday close and Sunday open or should we plan on full setup and tear-down twice?

Hey Steve - the Maker Manual will be sent out on Monday, and that'll have all of the logistics in it. If you're bringing a tent with sidewalls, you're certainly welcome to close it up on Saturday night - we'll have security walking around. Otherwise, I'd plan to do full setup and tear-down twice.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
