Established by Atlanta artist, Paul Chelko, The Chelko Foundation seeks to end gender bias and violence against women and girls. The Foundation works to empower women worldwide through a combination of art, education and partnership. Through the years, The Foundation has awarded over $100,000 in grants to deserving artists and continues to help women and girls develop a positive self image by revealing the power of the beauty within. Bodies as a Work of Art, a live bodypainting exhibition and competition was established in 2009 to raise money for the scholarship fund. The event has grown since then and has been sanctioned by the World Bodypainting Association to be the new North America Bodypainting Championships in 2014 and beyond. Hello Everyone!!!!! I was not able to make today and I was really disappointed being that there is no official November meet up. So I am suggesting that for those are interested we can have an informal meet up next month to keep the networking and information exchange going. Anyone interested? You can reply here or email me at [masked]
