Location:

We're pleased to have Slalom Consulting host this meetup.

Parking:

Self-parking for $4/hour. If you use valet, then come for the after-meetup drinks and F&B Bistro will validate your parking.

Agenda:

6.30PM: Food, networking

7.00PM: Presentation starts

8.15PM: Wrap up and drinks at F&B Bistro

Topic:

We're going to be kicking off 2013 with a discussion of a *very* hot topic in mobile development: Hybrid Mobile Apps!

Note that while Hybrid mobile development is similar to Phonegap or Titanium, it's a different approach. Companies such as Walmart and Amazon are already using this approach for their app - and is especially useful for folks looking to integrate mobile as part of an overall online strategy.

Vivek Jain from Thoughtworks will discuss Hybrid App Development, and will guide us through their Calatrava open-source framework for building Hybrid Apps: http://overwatering.org/blog/2012/10/announcing-calatrava/
