I want to personally thank everyone for attending the event today. I did not know what to expect and it was was more than I could have asked for in terms of everyone's patience and understanding with our staff. I am very excited to make the necessary improvements in the entire experience. Our next offering will be more dynamic, better seating for watching the performance, and certainly better service. Looking forward to our next Meetup!

In spite that I was not included in the "Good to see you" list, I had a wonderful time.

I actually work at the St. Regis as the venue manager. I am thrilled that everyone is going to spend a beautiful afternoon with us. We really want to become a great place for classical music lovers to come and enjoy the serene atmosphere. We do not expect you to order any food and beverage, but just know that you will receive a 15%discount if you do. We also offer complimentary valet parking. I look forward to meeting all of you on Sunday.

Thanks for confirming that there is no expectation to purchase food or beverage or anything, Marilyn. To reiterate, there is no catch here but just to come and enjoy yourself like in the days of Schubertiaden (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schubertiade) (or maybe more like Bachiaden). Were Schubert still alive, I think he'd have a hoot with meetup.com/Atlanta Music Lovers, celebrating classical music as a social gathering!

I called and spoke with someone at the hotel and Andrei is absolutely right. There is no expectation that you have to purchase high tea and your parking will be validated as well. Anyone is welcome to come enjoy the music.

The purchase of Afternoon Tea and any food or beverage is not mandatory and you can just attend and enjoy the music at no cost. The uniqueness of this venue is hearing a robust selection of classical pieces with the option to indulge in various menu items while socializing and enjoying the beautiful space.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
