ATL Node JS - Speaker Search

Hello everyone!

Rick and I wanted to send out a message to thank everyone for your interest in Node and the ATL meetup. For those that have made a meetup thanks! For those that have yet to come to one, please do come and check us out. We are a bunch of passionate software engineers, thinkers, creatives, nerds, and people who just plain love technology.

We are currently looking for a good speaker for one of our meetups. We don't have speakers very often as we are focused on being an working group, but we would like to get a serious/well known expert to talk about Node and the direction it's going.

Does anyone have any suggestions about who they would like to talk?

Here are a few companies that we will engage:

The Node Firm

Thanks again,
Ryan and Rick

Great list..

Since the Node Firm is practically a think-tank of core-contributors you could just pick anyone from that list and be safe. Of those folks, I interact with Christian Sanz (@csanz) quite a bit. He's a nice guy, and built from the ground up using Node/MongoDb. I think he would be a great speaker for us.

A couple other ideas:
James Halliday (substack)
TJ Holowaychuk
Chris Matthieu from Nodester
The Cloud Foundry folks (not sure who 'owns' the node bits)
Adam Seligman from Heroku
Aaron Heckmann ('owner' of Mongoose ODM)

keep it up guys! I'm looking forward to this months meeting.
