Campus Bubble is looking to hire node.js coders in Atlanta

Campus Bubble is changing the way university communities collaborate, communicate, and share on the web. Facebook is not suited for interaction with professors and peers in an academic, co-curricular capacity. Campus Bubble allows users to create Bubbles for their groups to begin discussions, add files, edit documents, assign tasks and more. Bubbles gain followers by posting content publicly, fostering cross-campus exploration.

In the Spring of 2012, Emory University licensed Campus Bubble LLC for the build, beta release, and Fall launch of Emory Bubble (complete with iOS and Android apps). Help us launch, test, and ship our next version as we scale to new universities.

Be part of a founding team with varied backgrounds, skill-sets, worldviews, and one thing in common: a passion for improving the college experience for students, faculty, and administrators. Join our small team and have a huge hand in shaping our product, culture, and strategy while working in a fun, collaborative environment in sunny Atlanta, GA.

We take great pride in the quality of our product design and cutting edge Node.JS and MongoDB stack. We are detail-orientated product people relentlessly striving for the highest standard possible. Check out a preview of the app here:.

We’re looking for experienced developers who love to write, delete, and ship code. You will be one of the first full-time developers we hire, so your work will have a large impact on the future of our platform. As our team grows, your role could evolve into a VP of Engineering.

We prefer that you have at least a few of the following traits:

A degree in engineering, CS, Physics, Math, Statistics or Philosophy – and a strong track record of interesting projects.
Experience writing software for a startup or large tech company and a portfolio that demonstrates your technical chops.
Familiarity with security, privacy, and integration with APIs for external data.
Hacker mentality – ability to code at all levels of the stack, from sysadmin to CSS.
We offer paid salary, meaningful equity, and a unique opportunity to work with phenomenal advisers, investors, designers, and developers.
