Christoper: how did you do this? What is it a photo of?

Thanks for the feedback. There are a number of butterfly figures in the garden that look pretty boring. I wanted the exposure to highlight the lights and ensure a black background. I set up my tripod directly in front of one with a 16-35mm zoom-- camera settings f/11 and ISO 100 for 1.3 seconds. Starting at 16mm, I started zooming slowly as I squeezed the shutter. It took a couple of tries. The mysterious glow below is the slight reflection from the plants under the butterfly. I've got a couple of other examples that I'll post but this is the only one that I'm happy with. Check out those that I just added.

Thanks for sharing your setup for this shot. I'm impressed by the fact that you could move your zoom and still get uniformity with the subject. Again, great shot!
