Great find and nicely composed. Focus, exposure, and depth-of-field are handled well. The rule of similar shapes is at work as triangles dominate the scene.

It took me weeks to train those bees.

David, what kind of lens were you using to take this shot?

Canon EF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM. Why you ask? Me curious.

That's so funny. I have the same lens. I've been struggling with focus a bit lately. I think I just need to be using a tripod more. I hate using tripods!

This was handheld. What shutter speed are you using? Without a tripod, maybe you need to increase your shutter speed. I have to do this because I am not as steady as I used to be. :-)

David, you hit the nail on the head. I just upgraded my camera and it's much heavier, so I think I need to increase my shutter speed to at least 1/60 s to compensate for the weight to avoid shake. I am not as steady as I used to be either!

I have found with my 7D and this lens that I need at least 1/125 second shutter speed when I using it handheld. It is much heavier than my Pentax ME Super that I purchased back in 1982! Remember, when using a tripod to turn off the Image Stabilization. It is a great lens. I use it a lot.
