I wanted to share some exciting news about our upcoming meeting agenda. We have the opportunity to engage with a group who is starting their own Eco-Village right here locally!
After Networking and eating which begins at 7pm, our 'Formal Part of the Meeting' (beginning around 8:30pm) will include the following:
1) We will kick off with an interactive discussion/exercise on the topic of Eco-Villages
2) Then Dale Wilson will do a brief presentation of what he and his group of folks are doing to start their own Eco-Village locally. Dale's group attended an Eco-Community tour last weekend and he will be sharing what they learned from the tour as well.
3) Dale's group is in the very early stage of development of their Eco-Community and I will be facilitating a brainstorming/mindmapping exercise with the audience to help flush out options, choices and best practices for building a truly successful community.
4) The results will be shared with everyone in this group as the collected knowledge will be useful no matter what your plans are for becoming more sustainable.
Between the great food, the wonderful people and networking...and the opportunity to participate with a 'real' Eco-Village group on it's way to implementation...It's going to be a GREAT meeting! I look forward to seeing you!!!
[address removed] (PS. Please remember to bring your favorite drink along with your potluck item since we are now at a clubhouse location (unless you are fine with just water. )
PPS. I will provide the main course which will be Chili. I'll bring a very large quantity of both a vegetarian and meat version of chili served with rice. If you plan to bring corn bread, please email the group so everyone else doesn't bring cornbread too ;) Please don't feel like your side dish 'has to go with chili'...everything goes and that's what makes the potluck so awesome!!!
