Panel Discussion on Copywriting

  • Jul 23, 2012 · 7:00 PM

We will have 4 amazing active Copywriters participating in this panel-style discussion to describe various aspects of their day-2-day activities, the good & bad for working with an enterprise company vs. a small business, startup, and agency.

As usual, we'll have some Pizza & wine — so come hungry

Liza Dunning - @lizadunning
A former ad copywriter gone start-up rogue. After helping found Scoutmob's voice + brand, her job title these days might be more accurately described as Scoutmob's Creative Director/Brand Hammer/Fridge Raider. Not necessarily in that order.

Derek Lawler - @RowdyBowden
A Sr. Copywriter/ACD with 9 years experience in traditional, digital and social advertising. A graduate of the University of Georgia, he believes in reading, writing and as little arithmetic as humanly possible.

Adam Hook - @AdamWritesGood
Writer and fighter for Moxie Interactive. Bike rider. Future cat hoarder.

Acree Graham - @acreegraham
After graduating from Emory University in 2008 with a B.A. in English and Creative Writing. She started her career freelancing as the lone copywriter for several local design firms, including Son & Sons, Matchstic, Metaleap and the interactive agency Armchair. She currently works for the full-service advertising agency Blue Sky, on clients such as Hotel Indigo, TBS, Reader's Digest and most recently, Off Broadway Shoes.

I thought the discussion as a whole great. Lots of good information provided from the panel as well. My only comment was there were times when I couldn't hear the moderators questions. Other than that, kudos. Can't wait for the next one.

Gosh, I got in. Thanks! I'd love to learn more about copywriting not just about a day in the life of a copywriter.
