Waterfall Hike near the headwaters of the Tallulah River Saturday June 20th

Hello Hikers,

It?s time once again to get out and explore God?s incredible creation. Once again we will be heading off the beaten path on a serious and challenging adventure which has breathtaking rewards. Our destination is to several beautiful waterfalls located in an amazingly, scenic area near the headwaters of the Tallulah River just into North Carolina. There are several shallow stream crossings which might require removing shoes or rock hopping. So come join us for a day of awe-inspiring scenery, good exercise and great fellowship.

Weather Permitting (rainy day- it?s off) please call if not sure.

This is an event for single adults.

Hike Difficulty: D5 Strenuous

(serious physical challenge)

Approx 6 miles total(steep trails)

Time: (9am to approx 7pm) This is an all day event.

Dinner(5:30ish) : Mexican at El Campesino in Cleveland (good and quick)

What to Bring: Day Pack to carry your stuff- camera, water, Lunch, snacks, rain gear, etc.

Optional Things to Bring: Bible, Sunglasses, Sunblock, Hiking Poles, First-Aid Kit, GPS, Satellite Phone or a whole bunch of Breadcrumbs.

What NOT to bring: Alcohol, your children, your pets, a bad attitude.

Carpooling will be encouraged but not required.

1st Meet Point: Browns Bridge Community Church parking lot leaving at 9am sharp. Directions to BBCC: Go 400 north just past exit 17 to the first light on 400 and go East (right on 369) 100 yards. Please arrive ready to go with stomachs filled, cars gased, and bladders empty. Sorry, but if you are late, we cannot wait.

2nd Meet Point: Ingles in Cleveland(1/2mi north of Square) 9:45am (10 min stop) and leave there after.


Please Note: We will be on narrow gravel roads for several miles, so if you tend to baby your vehicle where it might hold up the group, it might be best to jump in with someone else. The woods are your bathroom. Shoes may get muddy or wet. Trails and rocks may be slippery and have steep embankments. By attending, each person assumes all responsibility and liability for themselves and their actions. Make sure that anyone you invite receives this entire email and understands and agrees to all aspects of it, otherwise you?re responsible for them.
