Mud flats skirt the sides of the Chattahoochee and Bull Sluice Lake, as do cat tails and a variety of bog grasses. The area has great wildlife viewing opportunities. Many have seen a huge number of interesting waterfowl, ranging from heron to flocks of geese and ducks, as well as herds of deer running along the mud flats on the banks of the Chattahoochee. The trail ascends a fairly steep hill, rising far up above the Chattahoochee, near 2.5 miles. After hiking this ascent, the remainder of the 1 mile hike to the trail head winds through young deciduous forest. Join us as we hike this 3.5 mile area as we fellowship together and enjoy God's beautiful creation.
