Casting catching and Catered 2013

Update! As of 1/22/13 we have two morning beats available.  Please do not register for an afternoon session, they are full.  Also, be reminded to get there @ 7:30 and gear up so we can start the casting session and then hit the water.  As a reminder, it may be good to have a head lamp or flash light early in the am.  Don't forget a side dish.

This warm weather is killin' me. I wanna go fishing, hang out with friends, meet new FF folks and eat!

If you would like to also,  join us for an event that has been a great success in all regards for our group.

We will have Kenny Simmons (Stream Manager and cool dude) cook some chicken and each person will bring in a side dish. Bring your favorite drink and I will bring some water.

To start the day I want to share a cast that is so effective and ranks high on the 'SWEET'

scale.  It is called the Snap T- roll cast.  It is the perfect cast for this stream and other N. Ga. streams.  We will work on it for about 30 min and then go fish. At noon we will break for lunch, then fish the afternoon.

Here is how it works; There are 6 beats (sections) of the stream.  By registering you reserve a beat for half a day for $65.  If you want to reserve the whole day it is $130.  If you want to invite a second person to fish YOUR beat with you or take pictures or net the fish, you can add them for $20 per half day.

To register you need to go through pay pal, the first to register gets the first choice of morning or afternoon session.

After you do paypal go to this meetup and list your morning or afternoon choice.

Remember there are 6 morning and 6 afternoon beats. I will watch to make sure we get the count right.  If you want half a day with a friend it is $85---that is one beat.

Email me direct if you have a question.

See you soon,

Rene

I think it was maybe the best CCC yet. A bit cold but it had everything. The fishing was good--I caught one on my first cast and it was big- I'll post a pic. Then I got several more through the day (my best day at the Hollow). The food mix was great and having an adult beverage mid day by a fire with friends and doing some Snap-T casts just tops it all off. Thanks to everyone, it would not have been a success with out you.

Bringing a broccoli salad with bacon in it (it's pretty tasty) and some hot apple cider. Mixes well with whiskey!

I need a good picture with a trophy fish to update my profile pic.

What's up with Krogers? No fresh cranberries. I'm making chili in a crock pot. Oh, and jack and coke.

To clarify a little on the sections of the river. We will rotate sections of the river every hour so you can experience the different areas through the day. And don't forget to indicate if you want an AM or PM slot when you reserve. Post it here in the comment section.

A few things to note; Morning shift can arrive as early as 7:15 to gear up and afternoon shift arrive @10:30 to start gearing and eating.

Directions with a GPS may not work well, Jot these down.

DIRECTIONS AND SUGGESTIONS; BRING A WADING STICK. USE 0X-3X TIPPETS.
Directions! You can use the map attached to the above 'Frog Hollow' address but this is the easy read on it... Go north on 400 and it turns in to Long Branch Road. (Just keep going on 400 until the road ends in to a 'T'). Then turn LEFT at the 'T' and go about 1 mile and turn RIGHT on Town Creek Church Rd., (look for a stack of GREEN SIGNS). Go about 3miles and look for a white mail box on the right and then a flag pole in a guys yard on the right, then TURN RIGHT on Roy Grindle Rd. then 2miles to Frog Hollow, go right to the end.
