HBO Presents: Game of Thrones - Season 4 Premiere Screening

***Update from Jacki on March 30 ***:

Just received a message back regarding this event from someone with the Atlanta Film Festival. Here are the details: They are expecting around 750 people to show up for this premiere (for 2 theaters!). Not everyone is going to get in. I believe the 750 is a combined total for festival passes, just ticket holders, & wait-list. (They didn't clarify.) There will be people with the festival there to direct everyone to the right line, so make sure you get in the correct line. Also parking is a bit of a nightmare, so leave early!

*** Update from Jacki on March 16 ***:

It appears all tickets/passes have been claimed, but there is still a wait list. If you want to go and haven't already, be sure to put your name on the wait list. It's been my experience with events like this that people will cancel as the event approaches, some even last minute.

HBO is partnering with ATLFF to give guests a sneak preview of GAME OF THRONES. Based on the popular book series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” by George R.R. Martin, this hit Emmy®-winning fantasy series chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent fantasy kingdom. Watch the first episode from the new season a full week before it airs on HBO, on Sunday April 6! Then join us for a Westeros-themed feast and party after the screening

After Party: Westeros-themed Feast, 6PM, at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center (980 Briarcliff Road, NE Atlanta, Georgia 30306). Open to RSVP & Pass Holders and HBO Guests ONLY.

All who wish to attend are REQUIRED to RSVP. Here's the link to do so: http://atlantafilmfestival.com/2014/game-of-thrones/

Atlanta's free local news weekly, "Creative Loafing", wrote a great article about the 'Game of Thrones' screening. And it includes some wonderful photos too. shttp://clatl.com/freshloaf/archives/2014/04/01/season-4-game-of-thrones-premieres-at-atlanta-film-festival

Wow you won all that stuff! I'm available to borrow the Blu-Rays. It was a great costume. BTW does anyone remember the hashtag we;re supposed to use?

Funny thing is that only the 3rd season is the fancy Blu-ray/DVD/digital combo. The first 2 seasons are standard DVD. Hard to complain when I got them for free, but I wish I could trade-in for an upgrade to Blu-ray.

I have uploaded a couple of photos that we had taken together. I hope that you have a solo one also of yourself from the event. Feel free to crop me out of the picture to create one if you would like to. You were an amazing Jon "Stark". :)

I uploaded the good one I have of me. Sadly I did not see the dire wolf puppet. I really wanted a picture with that.

Everything fell into place and worked like it was suppose to. It was just perfectly and professionally done.

Thanks to everyone who came out! I actually met a few people who recognized me and said "Hey." Loved the episode! The after party was lame (even for those with ATL Film Festival passes), but the screening of the premiere more than made up for it!

‎I want to first thank, Melissa L. Bauch-Murphy, for posting her set of tickets that she would not be able to use for the event. I was happy to find them. And even had a chance to share them with Jose and Adam. Secondly, I want to thank the kindness of Arwen and her husband, Jeremy for letting me ride with them today. I had a great time watching the screening of this TV show on the big movie screen at the "Plaza Theater". It was fun sharing the cheering section with Adam. We all had a great time at the after party at Callanwolde. They had a banquet fit for a Lannister with wine, beer, desserts and pretty dancing girls. I was even able to capture some pictures from the event.

Given all that, I doubt our group will be able to find each other (unless we happen to be standing next to each other by chance) in the crowd, but if you see me in the theater or in line, feel free to say hi.
I'm wearing a red shirt, jeans, and I have hair like Rogue from the X-Men (natural streak in the hair, not the chunky streak-type).

I have an extra ticket if someone needs it.

Lyndie I will let you know if I get another ticket.

      1 · March 27, 2014

I may still have an extra ticket if the first person to 'Claim' the offer does not show or respond. I will arrive at the theater early and be on the look out for anyone needing a ticket.

Would anyone like to meet up for brunch @Rosebud around 1:30? Its on North Highland like 5 min from the theater

    March 29, 2014

  • Terri W

If anyone sees me (I'm short with dark hair and glasses) please say hello. I'd love to meet you.

    2 · March 30, 2014

    • Jen E.

      What will you be wearing?

      March 30, 2014

  • Terri W

They've been letting us in about 15 minutes before the scheduled start of each movie. The lines form earlier than that but if you're too early they won't let you wait because the lines are forming for the earlier movies. Tomorrow that shouldn't be a problem because the movie before that starts at 1:45. There's a huge gap between that one letting out and GOT.

    1 · March 29, 2014

  • Terri W

The people who have RSVP'd and have Festival passes (like me) get in first. The people who have RSVP'd but do not have Festival passes get in second. Anyone on the waitlist would be on the third line.

It's showing in 2 theaters. Be careful and make sure you get in the right line because they have multiple lines set up for different pass holders.

Just a heads up for anyone looking for a ticket - There are some people in the Metro Atlanta Geeks Facebook group that are saying they have extra under the event page there. So I'd post there as well if you are looking to get a ticket.
