Anyone going to the showing tonight?

It was great even though we did have a few sound glitches at times, but it was enjoyable all around!

I just uploaded the photo from the lobby of the theater. Sorry about those who missed the "Kodak Moment".

Apologies to anyone who's "Good to See You" button I missed. As I said yesterday, I'm not good remembering names.

I had a terrific time. The show was great and it was good to meet other members for the first time.

Thanks guys. My theater was much worse than that. Maybe the Weds/Thurs ones will be better. Was it good?

      Yes, it was really funny.

We had a brief sound outtage. Only two seconds, though.

    Small sound hiccups. Nothing bad.

I went to a theater closer to my house but they had serious sound problems and I had to leave (they did give me a pass for the inconvenience). They said every theater had the same sound issues. Did you have sound problems? I don't know whether to try it again for one of the repeat showings. Thanks for the info.

SO SORRY! Can't come today!! I had a terrific seafood meal last night that decided to rebel overnight. Thought I could rally by now, but I can't risk it. Next time... :(

I do not have a smart phone, so those arriving will have to look for the balding 56 y.o. nerd with a grey beard and a sign reading, "M.A.G. Monty Python Live! Meetup". The mall address (for those with GPS, etc) is:

Well, there two votes for Greek. Unless the silent majority chimes in with another option today, it will be "Athens Kouzzina" for lunch. It is located across from the AMC theater, so we could have a good spot for seeing late arrivals. Here's a weblink for the restaurant- http://www.simon.com/mall/sugarloaf-mills/stores/athens-kouzzina-a-greek-kitchen . And here's the lunch menu- http://athenskouzzina.com/lunch-menu/

I have been to the Greek one before and that is a good choice to eat at.

Just a little update about lunch on Sunday. I walked around the Mall last night to see what the options are. There is a Greek restaurant near the theater that appears to be good and not too expensive. More costly, and perhaps time consuming, is a Thai restaurant down the hall. Otherwise there are the usual, less expensive, food court options. The advantage of the food court is that the group can mostly sit together (or nearby), something different for everyone, lower cost, and no need to waste time with wait-staff.

    Thoughts?

Okay kids, it's time for us to give away some tickets for Monty Python Live (Mostly)! We have one pair of tickets to give away to one lucky winner. I will be posting ten trivia questions over the next couple days at different times of day. The first correct answer to each question will receive one entry in the drawing. The same questions will be posted here and on our Facebook page, there will be ten entries from each page.

Those twenty names will be entered into a random drawing for the tickets. You can RSVP for the event here and there are details on the event page for purchasing tickets, if you don't want to leave it up to chance.

PLEASE do not answer more than one question at a time. If the answer to the question is not listed, then that one is still up for grabs! Let's go!

I will be on the benches outside the box office (inside the mall). I will have a sign of some sort, since most MAG members haven't seen me. Also, here is a promo video for the performances, featuring Mick Jagger. Very funny, IMHO.

I went to the theater last night and confirmed the time as 2:30pm. I have changed our meetup time to 1:00pm to gather for a pre-screening lunch. The manager who sold me my ticket initially had the wrong time.

    2 · June 25

This event is at 2:30pm and meetup time will have to be changed. I just confirmed with theater management. Apparently there was a time zone mix up.

I saw the listing on Fandango, but the only available time is 2:30 PM. Is it still okay to purchase online or is is this what has meant by the wrong time? I'm kinda confused.

    June 10

    • Jason

Incorrect, there may be 2 showings. I have my ticket in hand and it says 2:30.

      June 16

    • Lewis

Let me check with the theater. The Sunday screening is the live performance, so the 2 different times don't jive.

      June 16

  • Lewis

Just a reminder that the tickets went on sale this past Monday. Don't wait too long, it's the type of event that can be difficult to judge the turnout, so it could sell out.

    See ya there!
