Star Trek: TNG - A Season 2 Celebration

  • November 29, 2012 · 7:00 PM

Instead of limiting this meetup to one location, I've listed all Georgia locations in the body below.  When you RSVP, please indicate which location you'll be attending so others can meetup with you there.  If you'd like to be an event host for any of the locations, just state that in the meetup comments below or email me.  Also feel free to dialogue about pre and post movie stuff to do.  The last time, several of us ST cosplayed.  Photos were taken by attendees exiting the screening and we were quite the hit. :-)  (Also, we went to a local hangout afterward for some food - a geeky good time was had by all.)

I'm pretty stoked about this one because I love all the Q episodes.

Note: The last screening of these earlier in the year sold out the major locations well prior to the actual event.

NCM Fathom Events and CBS Home Entertainment are coming together again to celebrate Season 2 of the iconic series Star Trek: The Next Generation in a special one night big screen event.  Star Trek: The Next Generation – A Celebration of Season 2

In Select Movie Theaters Nationwide Thursday, November 29th at 7:00 PM (local time)

Only One Night

This not to be missed movie theatre event will feature two of the most popular Next Generation episodes, Q Who? and The Measure of a Man which will include, for the very first time, about 13 minutes of never before seen additional content.

This special event will also include exclusive looks at the extensive restoration taken to make Season 2 look better than ever before, never-before-seen interviews with the original cast members, a behind-the-scenes look at the artists who created the original FX elements and photography and a reunion with the original cast members, captured in December 2011, as they celebrate 25 years of this unforgettable series.

Set in the 24th century, The Next Generation was created by Gene Roddenberry over 20 years after the original Star Trek series. The Next Generation became the longest running series of the Star Trek franchise, consisting of 178 episodes over 7 seasons. Star Trek: The Next Generation – A Celebration of Season 2 is the first opportunity to see a transcendent digital presentation and the world premiere of the extended cut of The Measure of a Man in select movie theaters nationwide on Thursday, November 29th at 7:00 PM (local time).

We really enjoyed the screening! Didn't run into any of the others. We are definitely going to start watching TNG this weekend. It was really cool to introduce the series to my youngest in this way.

I really enjoyed watching these episodes on the big screen as well as the extras material. Makes me want to watch the whole TNG series again. What did you all think? My biggest surprise... I was the ONLY person in the theater at the Fayetteville screening.

I can do Regal Hollywood 24, or open to other locations depending on consensus.

Anyone interested in being the "event host" for the Hollywood 24 location (as I won't be able to make it to that location)? Involves waiting outside the screening room to meet other members to sit together and then after the movie, coordinate somewhere to go eat or hang out a bit for any interested in doing that.

Please reply or comment below if you can. Thanks. Johnny

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
