Dr. Anne M. Hallum is the Founding President of The Alliance for International Reforestation, better known as “AIR.” For her efforts over the last twenty years, Anne was named a CNN Hero in 2011; was the 2011 winner of the Morton Award from the National Arbor Day Foundation in Nebraska; and she is a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow.
Since 1993, AIR has been working as a hunger ministry and educational ministry and environmental ministry in Central America—recognizing that these 3 causes are tightly connected. Anne and the AIR team have hosted almost 300 volunteers in the Guatemalan countryside over the years—including many Rotarians
