Hello everyone,
Great meetup tonight! Thanks to everyone for excellent participation, discussion, and organization. This meetup has become an excellent example of team-work, and I look forward to more in the future!

Speaking of team-work, I wanted to pass along a link to another meetup I set up recently called "Atlanta Interfaith and Nonfaith Service Association", or AINSA for short.

The idea behind AINSA is very simple: Get together folks from different religious traditions and folks from non-religious backgrounds for the sole purpose of serving the needs of the community at large. The purpose is to set aside any philosophical differences and instead focus on common goals of community improvement.

We had one event so far at Medshare International.

Our next event is Saturday, July 18th at 9 am to 11:30 AM followed by lunch.

It will be at the Books for Africa Warehouse, where we will sort and package books to be shipped to students in Africa. It's simple work, but it needs to be done and who better to package books than a crew full of book aficionados such as ourselves?

RSVP and details here: http://www.meetup.com...

Hope to see you there,

take care,
Josh

P.S.

The basic idea behind AINSA is similar in concept to Eboo Patel's Interfaith Youth Core (http://www.ifyc.org/)..., but slightly different in that AINSA explicitly, within its name, recognizes both Interfaith and Nonfaith traditions as equal participants. If interested, I encourage you to learn great deal more about IFYC by listening to this interview on Speaking of Faith: http://speakingoffait...
