I am most interested in how science and politics interact. I am alarmed by faith-based politics, and concerned that evolution and climate change are dismissed by the religious right.
Now, mostly from NPR and the "Scientific American" magazines that Tim Carr passes on to me.
Carl Sagan said that science is a whole lot more interesting than pseudo science, and he did a lot to prove that. We need to do more of what he did. We need more people like Sagan and Neil deGrasse Tyson and a big, active publicity and public relations committee.
I was pleased to see such a large group of interesting people promoting science. Science seems to need all the help it can get in the current political climate.
