My current science interest resides in physics - particularly cosmology and quantum physics. I admire Hawking and Feynman but claim no one as a hero. Complex patterns such as geo-mechanics and weather systems fascinate me to no end.

Weather always gets people's attention. As global climate asserts its reality and immediacy, people are bound to pay attention to the immediate and long-term ramifications of change on such a large scale. Also: sciences that focus on a small scale, such as the giant hadron collider, provide their own caché to potential science buffs.
When have I not been interested in science? I spent many youthful years in nature. This probably translated into a brief stint in scientific illustration many years later.
Well done. The offerings are well prepared and the presenters are clearly experts in their fields.
