Science news? I'm still working my way through the 19th century. :)

What do you think will make science more appreciated and interesting to the general public?

Even though I know these people exists I cannot figure them out. Science has always been interesting, exciting and very awe inspiring to me. In some respects I blame the media and our education system for the public's lack of interest in science.
