What are your favorite subjects regarding science?

Neuroscience, neurophilosophy, consciousness studies, neuroengineering, and all science in general.

Where do you currently get your science news?

Google Scholar now has a fantastic service, rather subtly displayed as a bell in the upper right of your window, "My Updates". This takes your papers and those who cited them and uses AI to recommend which papers you may be interested in. It finds all sorts of really cool things I would not have found, and right when they are published. You need a Scholar Profile for this to work, I think. Like this: http://scholar.google.com/citations?user=LrbKjQMAAAAJ

What do you think will make science more appreciated and interesting to the general public?

If there were some dramatic or funny TV shows about it and scientists, like there are bazillions of doctor shows, lawyer shows, cop shows, even coroner shows! Let's have some scientist shows! (Ok, there is Big Bang Theory, and Numbers, I grant you. More please!)

Introduction

I am a brain scientist and professor of biomedical engineering at Georgia Tech.
