March Skeptics in the Pub -- Live Podcast with The Amateur Scientist

Hi everyone!

We're very excited about our March meeting. We will be doing a live podcast with Brian Thompson of The Amateur Scientist. The Amateur Scientist podcast is a weekly comedy show discussing current issues in science, skepticism, religion, and pretty much anything else that comes along.

Brian will be interviewing our own Blake Smith (co-host of the Monster Talk podcast), and Lindsay Starke (writer and conspiracy expert).

If you're not familiar with the Amateur Scientist, visit http://www.amateursci... or download a few past episodes from iTunes. I think you'll like it. WARNING: This is going to be targeted for the adults. Some of the language may not be appropriate for the kids. Not that we have a lot of kids joining us in the bar anyway, but in case you were considering it.

You can also follow Brian on twitter: @AmSci. (For that matter, you can follow Blake too -- @doctoratlantis. I don't know if Lindsay has a twitter account, but I'll let you know.)

Speaking of twitter: @AtlantaSkeptics

Remember that this meeting is a FUNDRAISING event! We are charging $5 to go towards Skepticamp. You can pay on the Meetup site ahead of time via PayPal, or at the door. (If you want to pay in person, let me know. I'll add you to the list manually -- the system is going to try to force you to use PayPal.)

We are in the big room this time -- just outside the door of our normal back room. Plenty more space to stretch out. So bring your friends! Start gathering at 7, and we'll get things rolling by 8pm.

See you there!
