Atlanta Skeptics Field Trip: Mythbusting the Fox

This is a Fox event but our members might be interested! From the folks at the Fox: Come join our restoration team as they debunk and prove some of the myths and history that surrounds The Fox Theatre. After the presentation, we'll offer you the opportunity to take a tour of The Fox. This is a free event, open to the public, and as always we'll have prizes to give away. Please RSVP so we know how many people to expect. As well as RSVPing here on Meet-up, please RSVP here on the Fox Facebook site:

I forgive them for what seemed like a first attempt at doing a program through social media. Perhaps it wasn't, but i felt like it. They seemed to want to follow the Mythbusters format, and that required an experiment they could do live. Making paint with milk is what they could do. They needed a video camera on the experiment, and the screen and speakers up on a platform though. I suspect the meeting itself was an experiment though.

A little crowded to see any of the demonstrations, but it was otherwise fascinating!

I echo the other comments, however I got real excited about the free popcorn. That was awesome.

Couldn't agree more with Bob. They spent more time talking and demonstrating how to make the paint that is used on the Fox theater ceiling than anything else. Furthermore, only those seated in the front row had a good view of the demonstration. Made me want to rush out and buy a gallon of premixed Sherwin-Williams and bring it back. :-)
