April Skeptics in the Pub: LIVE AMATEUR SCIENTIST PODCAST/SKEPTICAMP FUNDRAISER

Live at Manuel's Tavern, the world's #1 tavern not pronounced like any reasonable person would think it's pronounced, it's the Amateur Scientist Roadshow!

Hosted by Brian Thompson of The Amateur Scientist Podcast, it's a thick hunk of weapons-grade entertainment set off by a detonator of comedy, whose resulting chuckleblast will shatter every last one of your funny bones!

Simply by attending, you agree not to sue!  It's just that easy!

Fabulous guests!  Mystifying information!  Games!  Prizes!

"Mixed drinks?" you ask?  Sure!

"Unmixed drinks?" you say?  Why not!

"I'm there!" you scream?  You may have an alcohol problem!

But wait!  There's more!  The Amateur Scientist Roadshow is also a special fundraiser for the Atlanta Skepticamp, a grassroots conference for awesomeites like yourself to educate each other in the battle against unreality and poppycock! This is why there's a small charge for this event! AND Brian should have some exclusive Amateur Scientist Roadshow posters printed up by showtime which he'll be selling only at live shows for $10 a pop.  All proceeds from this event will go to Atlanta Skepticamp World Domination Fund.

Like the old saying goes, be there or be some kind of stupid parallelogram everybody hates!

A few hiccups with the audio equipment but overall extremely awesome!...with a balanced breakfast of billions and billions of o's.

I said "Brain." It makes me sound like a zombie. Damn it.

Brain was great! Cereal was expensive!

I enjoyed it. The comedy stylings of Brian Thompson is always appreciated by me at least! Plus, it raised a lot of money for Skepticamp, which I imagine will be quite posh this year. That reminds me, I better get cracking on my presentation!

An enjoyable evening! I was surprised and pleased to see how much could be raised from the auction of the various religious artifacts. I was hoping to bring back a piece of St. Sagan's True Cereal Box, but the price was too high...

You can't beat an event where someone bids more than couple hundred bucks for Carl Sagan cereal.

This was my least favorite Skeptics in the Pub yet. I attend SitP to hear well-informed speakers presenting or discussing a well-researched topic. This month it was just three guys saying "so, what's in the news?" and cracking dick jokes. Dislike.

Like Mike C I have no paypal account. I would pay at the door. New to the skeptic world. Metaphorically speaking, I just took the "red pill".

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
