We have a couple of events coming up, including what we hope will become a regular new event "Drinking Skeptically". The goal with this is to help build the social aspects of the group while keeping the main meeting for presentations.
There has been positive feedback on holding the new event at a different location/day and we will be expanding on this in the future to better accommodate our geographically dispersed membership. Keep an eye out for a survey in the coming weeks (still a work in progress) which will help us determine how best to meet those goals.
You might have noticed our new logo! We want to give special thanks to Aaron Mercer who made that a reality under some ridiculously short deadlines leading up to Dragon Con. Thanks to him we now have a new logo, business cards and hopefully soon a new introductory flyer.
We also want to extend our continued thanks to Mark Ditsler of AbruptMedia for his continued support and dedication in providing AV services for the main meetings, along with a special request that if anyone wants to have a more hands on contribution to Atlanta Skeptics, then please consider turning up early to the Manuel's events to help Mark with the setup (or breakdown) of the equipment. Contact either myself, Cindy or Mark for details.
Thanks and see everyone soon!

Inaugural Drinking Skeptically
Come relax after a long work week and have dinner and drinks with some fellow skeptics. The first in what we hope will be an ongoing trend of new events, because as we all know you can't have too much skepticism!

For our new members, find out what we are all about! We will give an overview of what skepticism in general is about, as well as what Atlanta Skeptics in particular are trying to achieve. Then for anyone who missed out on some of the wonderful Dragon Con talks we are going to be showing some of the recorded video from those events.
