Whole Foods is beginning a 28-day Engine 2 challenge. The Engine 2 diet is a plant-based, whole foods, low fat (no added vegetable oils) diet developed by a firefighter. It promises to lower cholesterol and reduce disease risk. And all by focusing on natural, delicious, vegan foods.
On January 26th, from 2 to 5 pm, the kickoff will include FREE samples, Hope’s Yoga demonstration, healthy advocate feedback, live music, and interaction with the Johns Creek Station 61 firemen.
From 6 to a a little before 8 pm, they will have a free showing of Forks Over Knives. This is a documentary film that shows the importance of a plant-based diet to promote optimum health.
I'll be getting there around 4:30 to see some of the Kick Off events. At 5, I will be having an early dinner (their salad and hot bars have lots of vegan, healthy options). 6 is the movie.
I can't save seats in the dining area; just look for me after 5 there (I'll send out an e-mail about what I'm wearing and my photo is posted here) and we can try to sit together as much as possible. Again, in the theater section (a separate room next to the facility---ask Customer Service), I can't save seats, but look for me. After the event, if we wish, we can hang out at Whole Foods or move on to a place like Starbucks.
I have no idea how crowded the event will be and can't reserve spots for us, so best to come early!
