Do you want to Combat Emotional Eating but don't want take the journal alone?

Wow, we had a great session today(June 15,2013) for the group class on Combating Emotional Eating. There were meet-up members who did not RSVP, but called this morning and attended the class. The group members shared their trigger foods, spent time compiling a food journal, received a wellness assessment, and learned about foods that can help combat their emotional eating-and much more. June 22, 2013 and June 19, 2013 is the next group Combating Emotional Eating class and we still have space for more meet-up members. Based on the feedback from the group members that attended today, a later time on Saturdays is the best time for them to attend the classes, therefore, we decided to change the time and only have one session.

I lost 30 lbs of pure fat in 3 months in 2011 by switching to a 100% raw hi carb low fat raw vegan diet.
I got back to wearing high school jeans.
Does this program keep fat intake below 10%?
What is their thinking on raw fruits and vegetables being packed with nutrition?

Hello Dennis, I as well went raw for 90 days and lost a great deal of weight and improved my health. I really advocate as much as raw foods in one’s diet. Well, the program protocol is a plant-based diet and as you know raw vegetables and some fruits are low in fats. At the last event on Emotional Eating, we had some raw vegan dishes.
I don’t recommend a diet less than 10% fat, however, other health professionals like Dr. Esselstyn and Dr. John McDougall suggest the lower intake of fats for people with heart disease and I can understand why their intake will be lower. Hence, a good fat intake is 10% to 15% and you can get this in a plant-based diet. So, yes you can achieve a 10% fat intake on a plant- based diet and we will go over that on Sunday 6/30/13 meet-up

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
