Cooking with Preethi - North vs. South Indian - Pt 1

Preethi will be showing us how to cook traditional South Indian dishes.

North Indian VS South Indian Cuisine.  

DAY 1: Sat Aug 17th : The basics

Part 1: Theory - 
Presentation and Introduction to Vegetarian Cooking
Introduction to the Spices used in North vs. South Indian Cooking.
Differences between North Indian vs. South Indian Cuisine

Part 2: Practical Application- 
Preethi will show us how to prepare different flavors of rice and different kinds of flatbreads from North and South India.

DAY 2:  Tues Aug 20th - specifics TBA

DAY 3:  Sat Aug 24th - specifics TBA

All vegetarian, some vegan stuff. 

Preethi grew up in South India, where she learned to cook traditional Indian dishes from her mother and grandmother.  She is an excellent cook, and has agreed to share her secrets with us!

She will announce soon exactly what the menu will be. 

Cost of the event: Love offering to cover the cost of supplies.
