The Path to Self Discovery - Dinner & Discussion Group

Dinner & Discussion Group

Last week: The Mind: Friend or Foe?
This weeks topic:

What makes us human? What is the essence of our existence? How can I be truly happy? How can I find peace? Why is there suffering? Why am I here? How did I get here? What is the meaning of life? I am trying so hard - why am I suffering so much? ... Where can I find the answers to my questions?

There are so many questions that we all have, but in today's society, we feel like we are the only one who is uncertain, who is lost and seeking friendship. This group is a chance to support each other, to grow in knowledge and in friendship.

Each week we will read a short article on a different topic - meditation, the pursuit of happiness, etc. - and discuss together what it means and how we can apply this knowledge in our own life.

The Path to Self Discovery is a group that meets every Thursday evening to discuss the ancient teachings of bhakti yoga, kirtan, mantra-meditation and self-realization. It is a space for people of all backgrounds to explore and connect on various spiritual topics for leading a more natural life, in harmony with our true self. It's an opportunity to learn, share, make new friends and grow together. Along with a healthy interaction, every evening ends with a delicious vegetarian dinner!

Love offerings accepted to cover expenses. (But not required, Come and Be Happy!)

How does a member get a message to the collective group of organizers (rather than emailing them one at a time)? I see that messages on the discussion page have gone unanswered. I'd like to make sure I contact only those organizers who are active, as I see that about a half dozen of the 19 listed haven't visited the group page in over two months, and one hasn't been here in over a year. I'd just like to find out how to post events in the metro area outside of the area of Ponce De Leon. For many of us, getting to the Ponce area on a Friday night takes over an hour and a half, and we can't get there at a reasonable time to avoid missing out. I suspect there are members in outlying areas who'd like to see events at other places. So, I'd either like to find out if any organizers are in outlying areas, or ask if non-organizers can post events in suburbs. thank you!
