An Ethiopian dinner is a wonderful fit for this group, since it's both healthy and an exotic adventure. Atlanta is fortunate to have a number of Ethiopian restaurants, but many people think this one is the best. The vegan options are a number of different vegetable (like potatoes, carrots, greens) and legume stews, served with injera bread (which is gluten-free). The stews are $7 to $9, but what's best is a vegetarian sampler ($12) that has all the different stews to try. The spicing is subtle, but the food is flavorful and wholesome.
Be aware: Ethiopian food is eaten with the fingers---no utensils! They will be serving us individual pieces of injera so we don't have to share a communal one, but you will be using your hands.
Please be especially considerate and only RSVP Yes if you are sure you can come. If your plans should change, please update before the last moment.
You don't have to be a vegetarian to attend---but everyone will be required to order vegan dishes (no fish, seafood, pork, beef, chicken, etc.).
This may be a popular event. If it fills up and there is a waiting list, I may remove you and place you on the waiting list if you've been a recent/chronic No Show....
