Tasting at the Home of One of Our Members

One of our members, Kim Pierson, has a catering and weekly meal program company.  She has invited the group for a free tasting of their homemade dishes.  She says:

"We are beginning our catering and weekly meal program. We would love to have your group over to our home for a tasting of our homemade dishes. Everything is vegan, gluten free, wheat free, egg free, soy free (except maybe cheese may have soy), and casein free. But, all the taste of great food is still there."

Great opportunity to try some new food, meet some new folks, and support one of our members in starting and growing a vegan company that helps people eat healthy!

Thank you Kim for your generousity and opening up your home to us and preparing diverse vegan dishes. Everything was delicious and well presented. I also felt motivated to prepare the chickpea flour that has been sitting in my cupboards for nearly a month! Thanks again for your hospitality.

Kim, congratulations on your endeavor. I would love to attend, yet I will be working this weekend, and must get my Dad (I am his caregiver) settled in with the companion care sitter, before going to work. Please let me know when your next event is...Peace and Blessings...Pat

Ooh if I don't have to work that day, I would love to stop by! I'm coming up on my 1 year veggiversary Dec 26th and I'd be delighted to help out with the samplings :)

This is a walking tasting you can come anytime between 12 and 4pm. Thanks

Ellen, I don't have to be there for the entire 4 hours , right? I won't be able to be there by 12:00pm, but I could be there by 1:00pm.

First, I'd like to say that this is a really nifty idea. Thank you, Kim, for opening up your home to a bunch of hungry "strangers"! :) (And thank you, as always, Ellen, for coordinating these events.)

While I know that this event is ultimately for Kim's business purposes, I'm hoping that she'll put out some sort of collection jar for folks to leave a buck or three to help her defray the cost of feeding us, even if the underlying goal is for us to talk her up in the veg*n community. But if I'm way off base, just say, and I'm sure I can get over it. :)

That's a very thoughtful, generous suggestion, Andy.
