Raw/vegan for 4+ years, now adding a little cooked plant-based food when eating out.
"Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food." At first, it was all about healing my physical body. Now, I am discovering the awareness that eating this way instills. I became certified by Living Light Culinary School as a Gourmet Raw Chef and Instructor after a four-month residential intensive program. I am also certified as a Hippocrates Health Educator and assisted in Hippocrates Health Educator Program. Additionally, I am a Certified Holistic Health Coach and Certified Health Minister. I facilitate Chronic Disease Self Management workshops licensed through Stanford University and have taught nutrition for a children's nutrition class at the YMCA.
After a 3 week raw/vegan detox in 2009 for serious health problems, my health improved dramatically! I then became a constant student of nutrition and have certifications from many health and raw culinary schools. Love sharing what I've learned.
