What we’re about

The Auckland Diamond Way Buddhism group was established in February 2008. Our group practices the teachings of the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. We are part of a network of over 700 centres worldwide which were founded by Lama Ole Nydahl and function under the spiritual guidance of H.H. the 17th Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje.

Our centre is friendly places where people can access to Buddha’s teachings, meditate, and participate in centre activities. We offer regular meditation sessions, retreats, and lectures by international Diamond Way teachers.

The people you'll meet here are lay (no rules or vows) practitioners, with partners, families, and full-time jobs, incorporating Diamond Way teachings & meditation into their daily lives. The environment is relaxed and informal and people are welcome to hang out after meditation or come a little earlier.

The Auckland group are currently searching for a new premises. Until then we are closed. Watch this space for more details!
