What a way to start the Year of the Horse! Bye bye, snake and hello horse! 祝大家马年快乐!
Auckland Chinese Community Centre Inc has been organising annual Chinese New Year celebrations for the past 20 years. As the festival's popularity grew, it has become a highlight of the Auckland summer events calendar with an attendance of 20,000 persons or more.
Our Chinese New Year Festival & Market Day to welcome the Year of the Snake on 2nd February 2013 was attended by the Prime Minister Rt Hon John Keys, Consul General of the Peoples' Republic of China Mr Niu Qingbao, Leader of the Opposition Mr David Shearer, Minister of Maori Affairs Hon Dr Pita Sharples, Minister of Ethnic Affairs Hon Judith Collins, sponsors and many other distinguished guests.
