I am into Questioning, Science and Reason when it comes to making decisions in my life. So, Naturally this group is one of my Favourites and I love hearing the speakers, talking with others who know more than me and also drinking.
This is a great place to me great people who are not only intelligent but welcoming and friendly. Anyone is welcome to join in and I have met many great close friends from SitP and coming to skeptics has made me think more critically about issues i never even considered beforehand. I Highly recommend coming along to one of our meetups.

Hey was great to meet you tonight :)
Hi, thanks for organizing " DSLR for Videography" yesterday. I think it was pretty informative and cool to meet new folks ;-). Cheers
Looking at the exodus from Auckland today, on the motor ways, it may be the end of the world after all. Nice meeting every one last night
Hey, I was discussing the end of the world meet up with the skeptic society, and may friend may be able to come with me. Not a cert as yet but would it be ok with numbers? I am suspecting it should be as more a social gathering of member this time around. But thought best to ask.

Oh sure, well next time then :)
Hey Rayna, I noticed u were keen on coming for the night flight but then pulled out soon after, any reason, all ok? Cheers
No, and I appreciate the effort you go to get speakers, but I (and I think most others) come for reasoned, rationale, informed presentations and discussion. What we got at the last meeting was basically a rant with little hard data or evidence to back up the claims. "Go ask the fire department!" - that's not a presentation of evidence, it's called passing the buck.
That's cool, as long as she isn't skipping class too :P. I regret that I can't make it, and hope it goes well, but I am looking forward to the meetup after that. Take care.
I'm doing post-grad so there are attendance requirements, which is kind of lame. I was surprised that the speaker is an associate professor. Do you often have academic speakers?
