May 20: Four Truths about life – Part 2

May 27: Training in giving

June 3: Training in integrity and patience

June 10: The joy of effort

June 17: Developing our concentration and wisdom

This is the second of two series on the book Modern Buddhism:  The Path of Compassion and Wisdom by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.  Students do not need to have attended the first series in order to enjoy this series.

During this series, Kris Dennis will show how we can understand Buddha’s very first teaching, the oft-misunderstood Four Noble Truths.  The Four Noble Truths encourages everyone to follow true paths to inner freedom and peace.  During the second half of the series, Kris Dennis will explain how to practice this path, known as the Six Perfections, within the context of our hectic daily life.

Everyone is welcome to attend, no previous experience required.  Drop in for any class.

Class Format

Each class will begin with a brief guided meditation, followed by a short teaching.  There will be time at the end of class for question and answer and/or discussion.  Drop in for any class — no need to attend each class.  Everyone is welcome to attend; no previous experience necessary.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
