A New View on Life: Changing Our View from Ordinary to Extraordinary
November 5: Our ordinary view
November 12: The extraordinary view of Buddha
November 19: A dream-like world
It isn’t uncommon for people to simply cruise through life without pursuing any greater purpose. Life becomes a series of short-lived pleasures, punctuated by uncomfortable situations and truly tragic situations. What if there’s more to life than this series of ups and downs? What would it look like, as modern people with busy lives, to pursue a truly meaningful spiritual path?
During this class, we will look at the ordinary views that hold us back, along with the extraordinary view of ourselves and our world that we could adopt. With the right view, we can inspire ourselves to live a life filled with meaning and purpose.
Each class will begin with a brief guided meditation, followed by a short teaching. There will be time at the end of class for question and answer and/or discussion. Drop in for any class — no need to attend each class. Everyone is welcome.
