Presentation and discussion sponsored by Maker Square

April All Girl Hack Night will be sponsored by the Maker Square (themakersquare.com), formerly known as DevJumpStart. It is a "programmer boot camp"-style school that teaches web development. The Maker Square representatives will give a presentation about their classes, to be followed by a discussion of women's experiences in tech industry, and what can be done to bring more women into software development. They will also bring pizza, chips, soft drinks and wine!

Maker Square, a boot camp-style programmer school that teaches web development, are giving a presentation about their school, followed by a discussion about women's experiences in tech industry and how Maker Square could help to get more women into programming. They also brought pizza and wine. I'm disappointed that so few people (1/5th) of those who RSVPd actually showed up. The discussion we had with the Maker Square folks was worth a greater attendance.

I really really wanted to be there, but I'm still getting over the sinus infection. Got home and was down for the count. Is there any chance they'll be willing to do a follow-up for those of us who couldn't make the first one?

Can anyone tell me how can I get API Key for Google map or how can I upload Google map without using API Key in Java script on this meet-up day? My main job is Qik (Sabre) developer but now I need to help some web developing projects too at work! I am not very families with uploading Google map! Thanks.

We will also have pizza and chips from the April meeting's sponsor Maker Square, so if it's not too late to change your plans, perhaps you could bring cupcakes to the May hack night instead? If not, that's OK, we will just have lots more yummy food.

About your Google API question -- do you know that there is a Google developers meetup group in Austin: http://www.meetup.com... ? Perhaps they would know an answer to your question, if you haven't found it already.
