Two Ships Passing with Kyle Schlesinger, University of Houston – Victoria

Two Ships Passing with Kyle Schlesinger,
Assistant Professor of Communication Design, University of Houston – Victoria
April 30, 6:30 pm
Art Building, Room 1.120

The spring 2013 edition of Two Ships Passing focuses on the topic of pacing and features invitee Kyle Schlesinger and his guest. Central to magazine work—online or in print—is the consideration of the pacing of images, texts, and ideas. Structuring how information unfolds over time concerns many of those working in temporal media such as magazines, films, or written narratives; these structures may have their own meanings that affect the reading of their enclosed content.

The Visual Arts Center (VAC) is a collaborative contemporary art venue on The University of Texas at Austin campus that features five state-ofthe- art galleries and three inviting community spaces. Through its stimulating exhibitions and public programs, the VAC draws students, faculty, guest artists, and creative voices from around the world who contribute to UT's dynamic arts community. Situated in the Department of Art and Art History, the VAC serves as a hub for artistic expression, education, and innovation.
