Hello Austin Art Enthusiasts Meetup Group,
Wanted to reach out to the group and discuss some of the changes that have been happening recently.
I have decided due to my current work / travel obligation to step down as Organizer of the Austin Art Enthusiasts group effective immediately. I had tried for the last three months to be Co-Organizer but I was still not able to commit to the group at the level I would like and it needs. Nancy Goedeke was great to offer to be the Co-Organizer of the group for those last three month and with me stepping down has agreed to lead the group moving forward.
One thing Nancy is asking is for the Meetup group to do is help support the fees that are associated with running this group. Currently the organizer has to pay $180 per year to lead a Meetup group. I have covered that cost while I was leading but Nancy, and I do as well, believes for the group to continue we need the Meetup members to help support it financially. We are asking the various Arts Meetup group members who would like to make some donations to Nancy to underwrite the cost to lead this group. We will stop at the $180 mark but every bit helps so if you could pay $5 we can finish up this fundraising very quickly and get on to the more fun part of the group which is visiting the various exhibits around town.
