The Austin Backyard Goat Meetup Group is for people who have small backyard herds of goats for functions such as companionship or milking. You just might be surprised at how many people living in your neighborhood have pet goats! There is nothing more fulfilling than being greeted by a devoted bleat and tail wag from a happy and well loved goat that provides companionship and fresh milk for an appreciative family. We welcome anyone that has a small backyard herd of goats or other backyard caprine, as well as those that are interested in getting started raising their own small herd of backyard goats. Join our group today!

"As long as you have other shrubs and grasses for them to graze on or supplement with some coastal hay, then you won't have to worry about them stripping trees. If they do start eating the bark, then wrap the bases with hardware cloth...."
