I've had chemo, bone marrow transplant, hair loss, GI issues, insomnia, you name it! I was disappointed that there weren't more psychosocial services for survivors so I created my own: art, writing, meditation, laughter yoga, walking with friends, pilates and swimming.
Yes, central Austin. Near 45th Street and Mopac.
I can meet mornings, lunch, evenings...we can meet whenever it works best.
If you have a friend or family member who has cancer, will you share our group with them? You can show up late, leave early and you do not have to "spill your guts". This is not a support group. Just cancer survivor and caretakers helping each other with life.
I'm Emily. Cancer came knocking as I was busy as an eye doctor, mom, wife, triathlete and (I THOUGHT) a balanced person but apparently I had more to learn. I am dedicated to walking with others on their cancer journey.
We are a budding group looking to connect with cancer patients, friends and family so that we may "pay it forward" with our experiences of survival and tips for Life during and after cancer. Look to our discussions and comments to share your ideas and feedback.
