I like to go over there on a Sunday morning occasionally, get my pastries and cappucino, then sit up on the roof deck, and get some fresh air in my lungs, before it gets too hot outside ........ then, I walk across the street to Waterloo, and browse their music and movies .......... Whaddyathink?
My favorite coffee place is Summer Moon on South First. We could go there and pick up some great coffees and then drive two blocks down the street to Torchy's for unusual and delicious breakfast tacos. They have a small dining room, but a large outdoor seating area. We'd need a good weather day.
Water 2 Wine on Anderson Ln. has some great wine tastings and other weekly events. Check upcoming events on their website, http://www.water2wine.com/austin/?p=home, and maybe see which ones might be of interest to the group.
There is both a coffee shop with several types of coffee and a winery that are located on the square in Georgetown...perhaps a tasting of wines at the winery and then a walk around the square (there are several places to eat should that be of interest and there are shops to browse through) with a cup of coffee to finish off the trip?
