Join us for an outdoor screening and discussion of Sam Wainwright's film: Citizen Architect. Q & A with Co-producer Jack Sanders.
"Citizen Architect spotlights Samuel Mockbee, whose Rural Studio program encourages a new generation of architects to practice their trade in a socially positive way, by having students design and build homes for poor residents of Hale County, Ala. The crew building a house for spirited R&B fan Jimmy Lee Matthews is soon beguiled by their charity case. Interviews with architectural experts present endorsements and criticisms of Mockbee's approach." -Netflix

I find that we live in a culture that tends to isolate and disconnect. I started Austin Community Living to cultivate a sense of belonging in the midst of this. Please join me. Together we can learn, connect, and encourage each other as we journey deeper into the heart of community.
The world continues to grow in complexity every day. Isolation and disconnection is the easy path. Living in and staying in community is profoundly challenging.
As we move to orient our lives towards real community, we will undoubtedly face the paradox of relationships: that with love and belonging comes conflict and tension. In this tension we can learn and grow. Through this tension we can find our way to the core of human desire: belonging.
I welcome your participation.
