Community- a group of similar organisms that organize themselves to provide for their common needs, while serving a common purpose
Having been a member of an 18 member co-operative run household for almost 3 years now, I've been enjoying the dynamic growth that I've witnessed between myself and others, as we've been learning how to live together, share responsibilities, and work through our conflicts. The importance and value of the invisible structures, in addition to the physical structures, has become much more apparent to me, and I've come to recognize the importance of organizing the systems so as to allow continuity over time within an ever-changing membership
I've received my Permaculture designer certification from Scott Pittman, when I helped organize his teaching the first of many Pemaculture workshops at Quiet Valley Ranch. And I've an abundance of knowledge and experience with building sustainable garden/orchards, healthy homes, and the invisible structures that help organize and maintain the systems. I'm always glad to encounter new solutions to age old problems, and to share the one's I've encountered or come up with on my own. I've plenty of energy and know how to spare, and am available to be of service by sharing both with those that are ready to act to make themselves more self reliant.
I've considered myself a " Communitarian" for most of my adult life, early on I recognized the need to connect with my Spiritual Kin, and have sought out community where ever I've been, consistently finding more in Austin than anywhere else so far.
