Great Ride! The weather could have been a little less wet but that didn't keep us from enjoying the ride.

I started riding many years ago and had one of the first generation hybrids. I rode that bike on many a ride from 10 - 45 miles and had no problems. I still have a hybrid to ride and commute to work on it - and I would not hesitate to take it out on longer rides as I have in the past. At my level of riding, the bike does not make that big a difference. Just get out and ride - these are great people to ride with and you won't have any problems.

Thanks! I will join you on another day, I will be going to Dallas for that weekend to spend time with my daughters for my birthday(it's on the 12th) I'm bringing my bike to ride around white rock lake. I used to live there and that's where I used to ride before I moved to Austin. I'm looking forward to joining you next time! Yay! I got ppl to ride with!

I don't have a road bike. I have a performance hybrid "specialized" bike. I can ride 14-16 mph, depending on the incline. I'm not so great with hills though. I see road bikes are recommended. Should I find a different ride?
