JESTER KING BREWERY RIDE Please mark your calendar for August 17, 2013 for a 55 mile ride that will start and finish at the Jester King Brewery. The ride will begin at 7:30am and it will be an out and back from Jester King on Fitzhugh Road to Johnson City and back. It is a low traffic road. One of our very own riders, Dustin Dunnams brother in law owns the brewery. To get directions to Jester King or learn more about the brewery please visit

The expected route for the bike ride is as follows:

We expect to have SAG support by that will provide mechanical support, rides and fluids. Please bring your favorite drink for the cooler. We are seeking a corporate sponsor for the SAG but if not we will have a donation jar available so everyone can kick in dollars for the great support.  You should also bring some money for beer and pizza after the ride. Please drink responsibly.

This ride will be for intermediate and advanced riders. So you will need to be able to maintain an average pace of 14-15 mph over the 55 miles at a minimum and some of our faster riders will be closer to 20 mph average. There will be over 4,000 feet of climbing too so please take that into consideration.

    Hey all,
I drove the route today and the roads are good. We will have the REST STOP at Perdenales State Park.. just under the trees. It is 16.5 miles from the Start. and only 10 miles from Johnson City store, which will be the turn around.. bring cash for beer, Pizza, snacks if you want snacks.. I will have Ice, Neutral bottles so you can swap yours, and water and drink mix.. PLEASE feel free to bring your own bottles if you have a special mix.. Ill keep it cold.
I have spare tubes, and pumps, tools and, worst case, a rack if your bike just wont go any more.
We still have not found a corporate sponsor, so we will be taking donations for SAG support.. Please consider at least $10 per rider. Please understand, I am there for support, NOT a taxi service..
Looking forward to this great event and seeing all of you!!!
