Bee Cave Road - Sunday Brunch Ride

NEW TIME TO BEAT THE HEAT!

Please note a move back to Starbucks for a while.

This ride is ALL LEVELS, NO DROP. We're mostly B riders and we welcome A riders who want a recovery ride or beginners that want a buddy to hang back with them.  We range in speeds from 13 to 16 MPH and some of us will always adjust for the slowest rider.

Our base ride is 16 miles and there are options for riding up to 34 miles depending on who speaks up and shows up.

Please arrive no later than 8:15 to air up and water up if you need to. Wheels down at 8:30 this week sharp!

If you've not read our group's safety rules, please read them here.

Add ons could be good. 16 miles is short distance ...

Monica, there are often people who will ride up 360 to the bridge or Spicewood, we often add the 4 mile Cuernavaca Loop for extra hills. This is just the base for whatever sub groups want to form.

Jim and Sam told me about some of the add ons but after slacking on the bike and riding yesterday I think the 16 was just about perfect, thanks! Maybe next time!

I'm up for some more miles too so maybe we can make it happen when we're on this one. Cuernavaca/River Hills is an easy add on with a good climb. What part of town are you in?

I ducked out of this ride and am doing an A.C.A. 38 mile ride instead. There is always another week. Next Sunday two of us are doing a trial run of this: http://blastoffride.c... Plenty of hills, plenty of miles. PM if you are interested in joining us.

Yes, I know this ride is meant for all abilities but I like a bit more of a challenge and scenery than Bee Cave Rd. A good add-on would be to go DOWN Barton Creek Blvd, left on Lost Creek, and then back up to Bee Cave via White Marsh Walk, Falcon Ledge, and Knollwodd. BIIIIG hills that way AND some beautiful spots on Lost Creek. I probably won't be with you tomorrow but I'll try to join you in the next couple of weeks. Ride on!

I like riding on Lost Creek. I have tried to add on a loop to this basic ride where you go on down to Lost Creek on 360 and come back on Barton Creek. Haven't had any takers.

Can you tell me where this ride goes? I'd like to make it if I can.

It could not be easier -- from Bee Caves Road @ HWY 71 to the other end of Bee Caves Road @ 360 and back. Sometimes there are add-ons.
